About This Scheme

The scheme "Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana" was launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. The scheme aims to promote the generation of sustained additional employment, increase the formalization of the workforce, and enhance employability. The scheme provides comprehensive financial assistance to first-time employees to navigate their learning curve and incentivizes eligible establishments, particularly in the manufacturing sector, for generating sustained additional employment over their established baseline. The applicant must regularly file the Electronic Challan-cum-Return along with provident fund contributions and fulfill the defined threshold criteria for new employment generation. The scheme is implemented by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation. The applications for this scheme are accepted continuously during the registration period from 01.08.2025 to 31.07.2027 through the online updating of establishment details and employee Aadhaar authentication on the official portal.

Benefits

##### Part A:* First-Timer Benefits*

₹15.0K · one-time

The scheme provides a one-time incentive of up to ₹15,000/- to assist first-time employees.

₹7.5K

The first installment is up to a maximum of ₹7,500/-, calculated as half of the average Employees' Provident Fund wage for six continuous completed months.

The second installment is equal to the average of the twelve completed months' Employees' Provident Fund wage reduced by the first installment, restricted to a total incentive of ₹15,000/-.

The second installment will be kept in an appropriate saving instrument or deposit account for a specified period.

The incentives to the employees shall be paid through Direct Benefit Transfer using the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System to their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.

The incentive shall be disbursed within 45 days after fulfilling the eligibility condition and filing of the paid Electronic Challan-cum-Return.

##### Part B:* Support to Employers*

The scheme provides incentives to the employer for two years in respect of employment generated over and above the baseline.

For the manufacturing sector, the incentive to the employer will continue for the third and the fourth year.

For additional employees with an Employees' Provident Fund wage less than or equal to ₹10,000/-, the benefit to the employer is up to ₹1,000/- per additional employment per month.

In respect of employees getting Employees' Provident Fund wages below ₹10,000/-, the incentive at the rate of 10 percent of the Employees' Provident Fund wage will be provided as an additional risk mitigation measure.

For additional employees with an Employees' Provident Fund wage greater than ₹10,000/- and up to ₹20,000/-, the benefit is ₹2,000/- per additional employment per month.

₹20.0K · monthly

For additional employees with an Employees' Provident Fund wage greater than ₹20,000/- and up to ₹1,00,000/-, the benefit is ₹3,000/- per additional employment per month.

The benefits will be provided to all eligible establishments on a six-monthly lump-sum basis after the filing of six completed months' Electronic Challan-cum-Returns.

The incentive to the establishment shall be provided as a Direct Benefit Transfer to the Permanent Account Number-linked bank account of the establishment.

##### Conditions

_The employer must fulfill the threshold limit continuously, generating at least 2 additional employments with a baseline of less than 50, and at least 5 additional employments with a baseline of 50 or above._

_The first-time employee must successfully complete the mandatory Financial Literacy Course available through the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation Employee portal to receive the second installment._

_The benefits to the employer will not accrue for any month in which the employer is not eligible as per the threshold criteria laid out in the Scheme._
