About This Scheme

The National Metallurgist Award, instituted by the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, is open only to Indian nationals who have made significant contributions to the field of metallurgy in India through their work in industry, research and development, or academia. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in areas such as operations, research and development, waste management, and energy conservation. Individuals from industry as well as research and academic institutions are eligible to apply. The awards will be presented in the following four categories: 1) Lifetime Achievement Award 2) National Metallurgist Award 3) Young Metallurgist a) Environment b) Metal Science 4) Award for R&D in Iron & Steel Sector No. of Awardees 1.
