Frequency of Disbursement: Lump-sum or in two installments
Special Cases: Minor victims’ compensation deposited as fixed deposit, withdrawable only for education or medical needs

How to Apply
Victim or dependent files an application with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). DLSA verifies claims, collects necessary documents, and may call for additional evidence. Compensation is determined based on severity of loss, medical expenses, and rehabilitation needs within 60 days. Interim relief or medical assistance may be provided immediately. Approved compensation is disbursed through Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Appeals can be filed with the State Legal Services Authority within 90
