About This Scheme
The “Bal Shakti Yojana” was launched by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It aims to reduce child mortality caused by severe malnutrition among children below 5 years of age. The scheme provides free medical care, nutrition rehabilitation, diet, and transport through 315 Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres (NRCs) across the state.

How to Apply
IIn-person
- The child is identified by health workers (ANM/ASHA/AWW) during community surveys or health check-ups.
- Eligible children are referred to the nearest Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC).
- On arrival, the child undergoes medical examination and anthropometric assessment to confirm eligibility.
- Upon meeting admission criteria, the child and mother/caregiver are admitted free of cost.
